I'm Laurel. An actor, dancer, singer, costume designer, barista/coffee connoisseur and all-around theatre artist currently based in New York City. I was born and raised on the Mendocino Coast in Northern California, where I grew up working in the local arts scene from acting to choreography to prop and costume design to serving as a member of the board of directors for Gloriana Musical Theatre. Outside of the Mendo Coast, I spent three seasons performing with Island Shakespeare Festival on Whidbey Island, WA before making the move to NYC. In New York, I'm a member of Curve Filmmakers and have been taking classes and working closely with The Humanist Project and The Shakespeare Forum.
You're most likely to find me scoping out the local coffee roasters in search of the perfect pour-over or scouring used bookstores for new additions to my play collection. And I'm always open to company!
Education and Training:
In 2014, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my bachelors degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Spanish language from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, OR. I received additional training from Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA (Month-Long Winter Intensive).
I am also an avid dancer with almost 20 years of training in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, and even a smattering of salsa!
